In Memory of Jane Hoffman

In Memory of Jane Hoffman (1962-2025)

Jane was a devoted friend and generous patron of the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop. Her deep belief in the power of art to bring people together reflects the very heart of CHAW’s mission—building community through the arts. Gifts made in Jane’s memory will continue her legacy of creativity, generosity, and connection, supporting the programs and people she so passionately championed.

Born in Pierre, South Dakota, Jane had a keen financial and musical mind, a rich, resonant alto voice, and the formidable chops to hold her own on the trombone. She challenged herself by taking CHAW classes in photography and painting. Many years after her performance at CHAW as the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert & Sullivan, people recognized her on the street. Recently, she joyously took up piano lessons. Her rapturous laugh has disappeared and we are sad.

All donations will be matched.
