SHORTidotes 2.0 will feature a selection of experimental, fictional and nonfictional short films by Latin American, Afro/Latinx DC area-based filmmakers on the theme of end-of-the-year holiday celebrations curated by Salym Fayad. The program includes a panel discussion/Q&A session with 3 local activists and filmmakers moderated by the curator. This is the second of three installments in the film series "Coloring Communities" by CHAW Teaching Artist Carolina Mayorga. The first was held September 19, 2022. About the Curator: Salym Fayad is a Johannesburg-based documentary photographer, reporter, cultural facilitator, co-director of MUICA African film festival in Colombia and co-founder of Fundación Otro Sur.
